Only the courses sought after by students with higher averages will, for now, be able to increase the number of places available in this year’s national access competition. Up to 15% more students will be able to enter these training courses. The Government, however, ruled out the possibility of channeling vacancies from special competitions to the general regime in other courses, as had been suggested in a report by the National Commission for Access to Higher Education (CNAES).
