Young Portuguese scientist wins European award for work on thyroid cancer
Márcia Faria is 28 years old and won the Young Investigator Award 2021 given by the European Society of Endocrinology to 12 young scientists.
A study that seeks to find ways to increase the effectiveness of the treatment of thyroid cancer with metastases earned Márcia Faria, a researcher at the molecular biology unit of the Endocrinology Service of the Centro Hospitalar Universitário Lisboa Norte, a prize from the European Society of Endocrinology.
